The Chicago edition of The " Tour de Champagne " will feature more than 20 prestigious brands of Champagne as well as the cuisine of 10+ talented chefs from the Chicago area. This event hopes to attract as many as 500 local food and wine enthusiasts who will taste the best in Champagne in addition to gourmet food provided by some of Chicago's best restaurants. The night will end with a bubbly "fin de soirée" reception at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower in thanks to all chefs, Champagne exhibitors, and VIPs.

DEBORAH ARNESON, GUEST SPEAKER Renowned as a nutrition consultant, Deborah has brought health and wellness to thousands during more than two decades of consulting and public appearances on nutrition and healing. She is founder of Nutrition Consultants and co-owner of Healing Quest, the Midwest's largest medi-spa, based in Chicago since 1984. ROBERT B. BANSBERG, GUEST SPEAKER
Robert B. Bansberg is an award winning sommelier and wine educator at Ambria in Chicago and faculty member at the School of Culinary Arts at Kendall College in Chicago.
Bansberg began his career at the Pump Room, in Chicago, with Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises in 1976 as a captain, wine buyer, and maitre'd. He has consulted on many opening restaurants and helped manage at the French themed restaurant Savarin. His relationship with Gabino Sotelino, Ambria chef / owner, began and flourished at the Pump Room. In 1980, he joined the opening team of Ambria under Sotelino, when he accepted the role as sommelier.
Since 1992, Bansberg teaches a Wine and Beverage Management Class at Kendall College 's School of the Culinary Arts and for five years hosted the The Wine Series , a wine appreciation and food pairing course for the community. Since 2000 he also has done lectures at the Alliance Francais and The Calphalon Culinary also based in Chicago . |

Chef Martial Noguier, educated in France 's culinary academy, has worked under Alain Ducasse, Jacques Maximin and other culinary icons. In the U.S. , Noguier worked at Citrus, Patina, Citronelle and The Pump Room, before joining one sixtyblue in 2001. At one sixtyblue he has earned 3 stars from Chicago Magazine, The Chicago Tribune and 3.5 stars from The Chicago Sun Times. |

ANNA PAKULA -- photography exhibit
Anna specializes in wine photography; working with wineries, importers, international wine and trade organizations and major publications throughout the world. Her photographs have been published in numerous books, magazines, brochures, websites, marketing communication and educational pieces and featured in tasting rooms, seminars, exhibitions and in private art collections. Her photographic essay
"From Vine to Wine " grasps the heart and soul of wine-making, presenting the culture, history and traditions associated with its production. Her other projects are similarly focused, with the aim of revealing the unique attributes that comprise each winery, its wines and its culture, bringing each wine to vibrant life. Her photography is derived through a passion of the earth, nature and human spirit. They reflect the true essence of the art of winemaking and the finished wine by not only through capturing the faces, labor and passion of those who tend the vines, harvest the grapes and work the cellar, but also depicting the forces of nature at play in determining the direction of the wine. Her goal is to present the culture of wine production and enjoyment and to educate all wine enthusiasts about the hard work which is involved through the four seasons in the context of each wine's unique terroir, climate, passion, people, culture, traditions, etc. through her own personal and informed perspective as images of beauty, power and imagination. |
