Chef Anthony Chavez of 2941 Restaurant

Chef Anthony Chavez will prepare a special dessert from Chef Roland Mesnier's book for the Chef's Stage audience.

A California native, Chef Chavez has spent the past ten years perfecting his skills in pastry art at several prominent dessert destinations including Dean and Deluca,The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Chicago, and most recently at Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, where he served as Executive Pastry Chef.

In addition to many years of classical pastry training at some of the finest cooking institutes in the United States, Chef Chavez also has extensive training in sugar art, baking, cakes, and tarts.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Washington, DC.

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

The Metro DC Chapter volunteers plan, organize and implement various fundraising projects throughout the year. These events raise funds for CF research and care. The Metro DC Chapter serves the CF community, which includes people with CF and their families, volunteers and donors in the Greater Washington Metropolitan DC area.
